Mui's Story

After being sexually assaulted and harassed by my boss, I was so disturbed by my emotions that even a friend's touch would make me feel uneasy. I had unfriendly encounters when I reported to the police alone; it was as if the police officers wanted me to leave. My friend introduced RainLily to me. Accompanied and listened to by counsellors, I felt relieved. I also received free legal counselling services. Without legal costs as a barrier, I felt assured to pursuit justice. The RainLily staff accompanied me to the police and helped my complaint get filed by the police and the EOC. I hope all other victims of sexual assault understand that being violated is not our fault, but that of those who hurt us.
